Hopeful

I was hopeful that I would get my daughter to bed again tonight just after nine. However, it ended up being an hour after that that she finally went to sleep. I had her in the bed by nine. But she was not ready to sleep. Nursed, but then popped back up and jogged off to go play with her dad’s shoes in the hallway for a while. I waited and relaxed, and then she finally came back and nursed again and passed out. Man, it’s hard work. I’m beyond exhausted.
