Some days, you gotta dance. Live it up when you get the chance… but some days, you gotta ride bikes together… motorbikes, that is.
And boy, are those days great… ;D

“Blown away by your love 😘,” he writes, sending with it a photo of him next to the massive and awesome fan (which is turned on) that he bought last weekend and that I put together for him today as a bit of a surprise.
My mom and I both find it adorable and also hilarious and stupid, but mostly the first two.
My brother simply replies after a silent laugh and big smirk, “You guys are dumb.”

Wow. Who’da thunk? Six years ago was when I had that great conversation with my dear friend Nicole that got me set up with a weblog. Was it really only that long ago? It feels like ages have past since that day… at least a decade… isn’t life bizarre in its timing?

It didn’t work out again? Well, let it go. Move forward with what’s up and important now – make that happen. And continue the cycle whenever it is time to do so.
When something is meant to happen, it happens. When it isn’t meant to happen, it doesn’t. And when it is meant to be, but just not yet, not now, then it doesn’t happen yet, doesn’t happen now.
Period.
Thank you, God, for this blessing and this clarity about it throughout my life, even when it did scare me a lot to watch “Final Destination”.

Tired, I can hardly get my bedtime routine done… God, help me awake rested tomorrow morning, please. In you name, I pray. Amen.

Today was my mom’s birthday. For whatever reason, as we went to get her a plant and flowers, this song popped into my head from a cassette we’d had for my oldest brother – clearly something my mom had bought for him in the late 80s.
Hey, Michael!
It’s your birthday!
I’m in charge of the stars
and I’m here to say,
“Hey, Michael!
You’re the big star today!”
Obviously, my mother is not named Michael. However, since it was stuck in my head already, and she’s the one who’s bought Michael that tape in the first place, I felt it was appropriate. I sang the song to her for her birthday. And no, I didn’t even change the name. ;P
Happy Birthday, Mommy!! Love you!!

And so I sit, bleary-eyed and worn out, on the bed, awaiting my mate so that we can read and pray together. Most days, I wonder when I’ll get back to sleeping enough and going to bed early enough again. Most nights, I struggle to fathom how I ever functioned without him in my life. And no, this isn’t a reference to sex – not in the least – but merely a reference to the time of day when we think over everything from the day, almost passively considering everything and regularly discovering how we truly feel about things. As we shower and get ready for bed, we contemplate life. I do, anyway. And my contemplations tend to be glorious these days, even when he does piss me off or I stress him out big time over something.

“Your girls, sunbathing by the boats,” I sent.
He replied, “Nice”.
“We miss you,” I said.

“She got a good roll in,” I said.
“Haha nice,” he replied, “I miss you too”.
And then he said, in reply to the first message, “She’s naked, why aren’t you?”
::face palm… idiot… such a guy…
And I love him.
Thank you, God, for such a man period, and especially for his presence and role in my life in particular. In gratitude, I pray. Amen.

And sometimes we look at something and think, ‘Oh! It’s the same both upside down and right side up!,’ and then have to be told that it actually isn’t… But we are dyslexic, so, for us, it is the same both ways! Yippee! One small joy to go with dyslexia, y’all! 😛
May you play today. 😉

So, we do Duolingo every day, right? As we both sat in the living room just now, pulling up Duolingo, I begin my second lesson just as he clicks to start his, only a couple minutes behind my beginning with my first lesson. And what does his screen show him?

But what did mine do? Start my next lesson like nothing was different! As we sat right next to one another… bizarre and goofy, right?? 😛
Oh, well… so it goes!
